Our Board of Directors

The Austin Past & Future Fund is governed by a Board of Directors responsible for fiduciary oversight, strategic direction, and long-term stewardship of the organization’s mission.

The Board ensures that APFF operates with transparency, accountability, and adherence to its founding principles. While day-to-day operations are managed by the Executive Director, the Board maintains governance authority and oversight.

Together, the Board safeguards the sustainability of both the Fund and its affiliated initiatives, including HistoricDetroit.org

  • President

Elle Tivine-Austin is an author, educator, and optimist who sees stories as bridges between memory, healing, and hope. She spent over 20 years in higher education, and her current work with APFF is both a tribute to her husband’s legacy and a promise to keep Detroit’s stories alive.

  • Treasurer

A seventh-generation Detroiter, Andy Linn is co-founder and CFO of City Bird. Before founding City Bird, Linn worked in redevelopment and development finance in Detroit. Passionate about preservation and Detroit history, Linn enjoys working on his historic home, biking and exploring the city, and collecting vinyl records. Above all, he loves being a dad and sharing with his toddler why Detroit is the greatest city in the world.

  • Secretary

Stephanie Rhoades Hume is a Detroit-based documentary photographer dedicated to telling the stories of Detroit and its people through her lens. Her work captures the intersection of history and progress, reflecting the vibrant energy and beauty of a city in motion.
